Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are prevalent in the children. Presentation of UTI vary children different ages. In infants, who cannot localize symptoms, can present with a fever whereas older urinary symptoms (dysuria, frequency, incontinence). It is important to establish clear diagnosis order treat and resolve infection antibiotics therapy prevent bacteremia, pyelonephritis, long-tern renal disease. Urine collected through mid-stream urine sample, toilet trained children, via urethral catheterization, suprapubic aspiration pediatric collection bags. analysis culture first-line investigations suspected UTI. Goals treatment include elimination infection, relief acute prevention recurrent long-term complications. The Canadian Pediatric Society recommends initial oral for nontoxic febrile UTIs. Imaging, such as renal/bladder ultrasound, may be used.
